The RIVIR platform is replacing the IX-ONE Exchange platform. This migration is currently in progress.
As we’re in the middle of RIVIR migration, all member types (including retailers) are in the midst of onboarding and training to adapt to the new user interface. Partners do not automatically ingest supplied content. Images can be sent directly from within RIVIR via email to your retailer/distributor partner. If your retailer does not yet have their RIVIR credentials, they can contact us to gain access.
Discontinued is a product status. The content does not get purged from the system. NOTE: Only the Product Administrator role permission within Company Profile has visibility to the “DISCO” items.
The data and imagery certified during the professional capture service would overwrite anything self published if certification is required against that image or content field. The “self captured” item will remain available through version history of that associated UPC.
It was named after a continuous stream of data, flowing from many entry points down to the eventual end similar to that of a river. The VIR in RIVIR emphasizes the fact that this can all be done virtually.
RIVIR provides a central repository to manage and share content eliminating the need for duplicate systems and the potential errors that result from manual data entry. RIVIR enables product content to be populated once and used in many places creating efficiencies and time savings. RIVIR is also a virtual collaboration tool connecting teams and partners across geographical distances. Ultimately, saving time and reducing costs.
GS1 standards are the most widely used system of standards in the world ensuring that organizations are creating and maintaining information in a unified way to support global supply chain needs.
Version history will be maintained and tracked for all products within RIVIR reflecting all changes made to product details and status changes.
Each organization’s systems and needs are different, and RIVIR was created with this in mind. Data may be retrieved via automated API requests, manual extraction though the user interface, or reoccurring exports custom built and scheduled by RIVIR users.
Great question! Even though The Data Council has joined the SPINS family, we’re still in the process of fully integrating. For the time being, we’re continuing to operate separately, and your membership remains important. We’ll keep you in the loop with any updates or changes along the way!
It’s likely that we’ll offer this integration in the future, but we’re still working out the details. We’ll keep you updated as we finalize the plans!
RIVIR is a Certified GS1 data pool and can replace or work in tandem with another service, however, a GLN can only be registered with one data pool at a time. Content included in RIVIR can be syndicated across the GDSN by turning on those services with a separate agreement. RIVIR is a product information management tool and provides content sharing capabilities as well as access to content services.
“Unmatched” products are products that are found in our system that are Active, but do not match to the minimum requirements. They do not affect the ability of our Retailer or Distributor partners from seeing or accessing the item’s content. We are currently developing an update which will simplify this tag.
The IX-ONE Certification for an item is validating that a complete set of GS1-compliant images and data capture have been completed through our professional content capture services. Removing data or images provided through this process will cause your item to no longer be certified. You may add any additional images or data you wish on top of the created content and not lose your certification. If the certified content is out of date, to maintain the certification, please resubmit your product for capture.
The complete capture process spans 2 to 4 weeks from receipt of live products. If it has been longer than 4 weeks since your tracked item was received by the studio, please consider the following before submitting an inquiry to our team. 1) Products without UPC barcodes or incorrect barcodes on the package, as well as mock-up or empty packaging will not be processed. 2) Products that arrived damaged will not be processed. Either of these scenarios will require reshipment.
